New Argyle ISD and Liberty Christian School teachers got a warm welcome from the community Tuesday at the annual New Teacher Welcome Breakfast hosted by the Argyle Chamber of Commerce at Lantana Golf Club.

Congressman Michael Burgess was the keynote speaker, and 46 new teachers were introduced and given swag bags containing classroom supplies and gifts.

Thanks to the generosity of presenting sponsor DATCU, and the sponsorships of Atmos Energy, CoServ Electric, Honda of Denton, and Toyota of Denton, the cost of breakfast for all teachers and administrators was covered.

Other donors who contributed gifts included Ciera Bank, PointBank, Rapid Med, Willow Bend Mortgage, Excite Gym and Cheer, Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford, Hamilton Insurance Agency, Active Family Chiropractic, Cross Timbers Community Church, Sunny Darden Real Estate, and Guidance Preparatory Academy.

“I am an Argyle resident,” said chamber president Phil Loftis, “and I am blessed to have a choice of the top public school system in North Texas or the number on private school in the state.”
