In addition to work displayed by a selection of more than 30 gallery quality artists, the festival will include artist demonstrations, live music and entertainment, and interactive children’s art activities.

“The Art Festival is the type of event we envisioned when we formed the Highland Village Public Art Advisory Board to bring awareness and opportunities for art appreciation to Highland Village”, said Highland Village Mayor Charlotte Wilcox . “We have talented and passionate residents serving on the board and we are appreciative of their work with The Shops at Highland Village to bring this event to our community.”

Jazz performances will be held in the south courtyard between Patrizio and Chico’s during the following times:

– 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Noel Johnston Fusion Trio
– 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. – Riggs/Slater American Songbook Quartet
– 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. – John Adams Trio

“We are thrilled to host our first Art Festival, which we could not have done without the help of our partner, Highland Village Art Advisory Board. We hope the Festival will be an annual event that gets larger each year,” said Kelly Smith, marketing director for The Shops at Highland Village.

“We invite our community to come out and see the beautiful artisan creations, listen to the three jazz performances throughout the day, dine in one of our delicious restaurants, and just have a great time with your family or significant other.”
