As a special edition of Foodie Friday this week, we’d like to highlight some of the incredible events and deals happening at local restaurants this weekend in celebration of the mothers in our community.
Here are just a few of the things going on at some of our Foodie Friday restaurants.
Swirl Bakery
Swirl Bakery is hosting a Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet this Sunday, May 11th, from 10:00am-2:00pm. Come celebrate the mother(s) in your life by enjoying a delicious meal and some awesome baked goods from Swirl Bakery. Bistecca
Bistecca is also hosting a Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet on Sunday from 11:00am-2:00pm. The buffet features an awesome menu including a lavish salad buffet with Chef’s famous duck salad, jumbo shrimp cocktail, fruit and cheese, roast sirloin, glazed ham, pecan breaded chicken, butter poached sea bass, a dessert table and more!
The prices for the buffet are:
Adults: $37.50
Seniors: $25.50
Children (7-12): $12.95
Children 6 and under: Free

Salerno’s
Salerno’s is hosting their World Famous Italian Mother’s Day Buffet on Sunday from 11:00am-3:00pm. This event has been a North Texas tradition for over 25 years – so you know it must be awesome! Reservations are required – just call 972-539-9534.
The buffet prices are:
Adults: $28.95
Seniors: $18.95
Children (6-12): $11.95
Children 6 and under: Free
The buffet starts with a lavish display of various imported cheeses, cantaloupe with prosciutto, artichoke and mushroom salad, asparagus marinated in a fresh raspberry sauce, pasta salad, shrimp cocktail, Antipasta tray, smoked salmon and – of course – their famous lobster bisque and Salerno’s house salad.
The second portion of the buffet includes the hot entrees – penne pasta with your choice of Alfredo or Succa sauce, award-winning Chicken Mogia, pecan breaded Mahi Mahi with orange basil cream sauce, lobster raviolis, Mostaccioli, Veal Saltimbocca, carved roasted sirloin, glazed honey ham, smoked turkey and Italian green beans.
There will also be a dessert bar with a large assortment of sweets available.

Bar.Fun.Dining (BFD)
BFD in Flower Mound is another Sunday brunch option for you and your family. They’ll be serving a special Mother’s Day brunch menu including bottomless mimosas, biegnets, giant cinnamon rolls, omelets, creme brulee French Toast and chicken and waffles.
For the kiddos, they’re offering a pancake or egg plate that includes bacon, fruit and a small juice or milk.
Head in to BFD this Sunday to enjoy some delicious brunch items – that creme brulee French Toast sounds amazing!
Dolce Italian Cafe & Bakery
The first of our Foodie Friday dining experiences – and we love going back to see what new creations they’re featuring! For Mother’s Day this weekend, Dolce has a few special menu items that you can pick up to really help make your Mother’s Day meal special. Saturday and Sunday they’ll have delicious fresh made rolls that you can purchase. They’ll also have a couple unique items like a cinnamon coffee cake that’s apparently like eating a huge cinnamon roll and raspberry macarons in the shape of daisies (a sort of “sweet” bouquet)! On Sunday, Dolce will also be serving up some gourmet chocolate covered strawberries.
They also now serve Gelati in four flavors – and Sunday is supposed to be perfect weather for a treat like Gelati!
Their bakery and delicacies are FANTASTIC and management is incredibly excited about these special menu items, so be sure to check them out this weekend!

Z Grill & Tap
Z Grill will be open at 10:00am on Mother’s Day serving their full menu – including breakfast! They will also be offering a complimentary dessert to all mothers that day as a way of saying “I love you, Mom, and appreciate all that you do.”
Burgers & Brats
The newest addition to our Foodie Friday family is offering some great deals for you to take advantage of this weekend with Mom. If you print off these coupons, you can take $5.00 off a purchase of $30.00 or more or buy one item and get one half off! If the mother(s) in your life would prefer a delicious, juicy, fat burger for Mother’s Day this weekend, take her to Burgers & Brats off Long Prairie Road in Flower Mound!
