Lady Wildcats continue impressive playoff run

The Guyer girls soccer team made quick work of Wichita Falls Hirschi, defeating the Lady Huskies 6-0 at Memorial Stadium in Wichita Falls on Friday afternoon.

Odalys Lopez earned a hat trick in the game for the Lady Wildcats, and coach Kenny Blevins said he was very impressed with her effort.

“She was fantastic,” Blevins said. “This was definitely a breakout game for her. She has been in kind of a reserve role for us this season. She got her chance, and she really shined.”

Hannah Alspach, Brittany Crabtree and Jasmine Heffley also scored in the game for Guyer.

The Lady Wildcats have advanced to the regional quarterfinals, where they will square off with the winner of the Wichita Falls/Boswell game at a time and location to be determined.
