The Flower Mound Police Department is investigating a murder-suicide involving a grown son and his mother that occurred Monday afternoon.
Police responded to the 1500 block of River Birch Drive near Stone Creek Park at 1:10 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from the victim’s husband.
Upon arrival officers discovered the badly cut bodies of Deborah Wilner, 57, and Eric Wilner, 31. Police said that they both appeared to have died due to blood loss as a result of lacerations.
Police believe that Eric Wilner used a knife to kill his mother then killed himself with a large razor blade while his father was sleeping. Wilner resided at the home with his parents.
Investigators also located what is believed to be a suicide note at the residence.
Flower Mound Police Capt. Richard Brooks said that there was no history of trouble at the address, as the only previous police call was a burglary report.
The case is still under investigation.
