The top ranked Argyle Eagles football team advanced to the state quarterfinals Friday after emerging as victor over Gilmer in a game that featured five lead changes.
In the end, Argyle came out on top, 45-38 at Kincaide Stadium.
Brandon Boyzuick connected with Ian Sadler and John Pucciarello on two touchdowns passes in the game, while Sadler rushed for 182 yards and four touchdowns for the Eagles.
Nick Ralston tacked on 128 yards rushing for Argyle, and Cole Hedluned drilled a 41-yard field goal in the game to extend his record streak to 54 on the season.
The Eagles (13-0) will square off against Gladewater on Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Waco Midway High School.
