UPDATE: FM 1171 is now open.
Due to an emergency gas line repair in the 8200 block of Cross Timbers Road (FM 1171), near the Pierre Lane intersection, traffic is being rerouted away from the area.
Westbound FM 1171 traffic is being diverted at Shiloh Road and eastbound traffic is being diverted at Highway 377.
Motorists can use FM 407 as an alternate route.
This morning, construction crews hit a 8-inch gas line. Repairs are estimated to be completed around 1 p.m.
Residents who live in the affected area are allowed access to their homes, according to the Town of Flower Mound.
