The Marcus softball team came up short in its series opener against Lewisville this evening, losing 3-1 to the Lady Farmers in Trophy Club.
Ashley Hardin tripled for the Lady Marauders and Marcus actually out-hit Lewisville 6-3 in the game, but in the end it was not enough as the Lady Farmers took a 1-0 lead in the best of three series.
Marcus and Lewisville will square off in game 2 tomorrow evening at 7:30 p.m. at Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club.
