Police arrest suspect in connection with Tour 18 burglaries

A man linked to a string of burglaries last December in the gated Tour 18 community of Flower Mound was arrested by Keller police on March 12.

Justin Andrews, 34, of Waller County in the Houston area, is charged with seven counts of burglary and tampering/fabricating evidence.

Keller police linked Andrews to a cache of stolen property uncovered during the search of his Houston home the week before that turned up jewelry and other items taken from homes in Westlake’s gated communities of Vaquero and Glenwyck Farms as well as pieces connected to burglary cases in Flower Mound, Memorial City and Harris County, Texas, and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Andrews has been charged with one burglary in Tour 18 so far, along with six burglaries that occurred in the Town of Westlake in July and November 2012. Investigators expect to add additional charges in the future.

“The other victims will be reviewing the recovered property to see if they can identify their property.  If that happens successfully we will add charges.” said Flower Mound Police Captain Richard Brooks.

Andrews is being held in the Keller Regional Detention Facility on $3.6 million bond.
