Family and friends of Max Schwolert joined members of the Marcus High School Golf Team for a balloon release Saturday evening at the Bridlewood Golf Club in Flower Mound in honor of the 17-year-old who died last Saturday from influenza complications.
Earlier in the day, a well-attended memorial service was held for Schwolert at The Village Church in Flower Mound.
A “Pray for Max” fund has been set up to help defray medical expenses for the family.
