Double Oak Police Calls

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

12-04-2012  11:45 p.m. – Admin. Duty – 100 blk. Knob Hill Ln., Double Oak – An out of state customer called concerned about the inability to make contact with a transportation provider.

12-05-2012  4:19 a.m. – Theft In Progress – 2000 blk. Hickory Hill Rd., Lantana – Caller observed two males in camouflage and toboggan hats at a construction site near his home.  Witness believed they were cutting wires at the location.  Suspects departed prior to officer arrival.

12-05-2012  3:26 p.m. – Arrest (Driving While License Invalid With Previous Suspension for Driving While Intoxicated) – 100 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – Officer conducted a traffic stop and determined that the 28 year old male driver had a suspended driver’s license.

12-05-2012  9:26 a.m. – Assist Fire Department – 7900 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – Officers provided traffic control while Fire Department personnel coordinated efforts to repair a broken gas line.

12-06-2012  7:43 p.m. – Missing Person – 200 blk. Colonial Ct., Double Oak – An older family member had walked to the store earlier in the day and had not returned.  During the initial investigation the missing person returned home.

12-08-2012  10:57 a.m. – Outdoor Burning – 200 blk. Simmons, Double Oak – Officer observed a citizen burning a pile of leaves on a non-burning day.  The resident was directed to the Denton County website and issued a warning after the fire was put out.

12-08-2012  11:47 p.m. – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – 500 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – Officer conducted a traffic stop and found a passenger in possession of drug Paraphernalia.  A citation was issued.

12-08-2012  3:41 a.m. – Accident – I-35 W (Mile Marker 75), Argyle – Double Oak PD assisted with traffic control while Argyle PD conducted an accident investigation on I35W.

12-08-2012  9:25 a.m. – Reckless Damage – 200 blk. Lake Trail Dr., Double Oak – Officer made contact with a complainant regarding their mailbox that had been damaged by a motorist.

12-09-2012  3:52 a.m. – Deadly Conduct – 800 blk. McMakin, Bartonville – Double Oak Officer was dispatched with Sheriff’s Deputy to an allegation of possible deadly conduct with a firearm between upset relatives.

12-09-2012  11:25 a.m. – Assist Fire Department (Traffic Control) – 300 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – Traffic control was provided while Double Oak Fire Department cleaned up a fuel spill.

12-09-2012  9:45 p.m. – Burglary In Progress – 500 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – Double Oak and Bartonville Officers responded to a call in which a citizen reported hearing someone in the kitchen area of their home.  Upon further investigation it was determined that a cat had become locked inside of a closet near the kitchen.

12-09-2012  11:20 p.m. – Alarm – 600 blk. S. Hwy 377, Argyle – Assisted Argyle PD with answering an alarm call.

12-11-2012  5:14 a.m. – Alarm – 7100 blk. Justin Rd., Denton Cnty. – Officer dispatched by Denton County to a business alarm.

12-12-2012  12:31 a.m. – Suspicious Activity – 200 blk. Rivers Meadows Dr., Argyle – Double Oak Officer dispatched to assist Argyle PD with locating persons ringing neighborhood doorbells.

12-12-2012  11:44 p.m. – Alarm – 100 blk. Fawn Hollow Dr., Denton Cnty. – Double Oak Officer responded to an alarm call.  No evidence of criminal activity was found.

12-15-2012  2:45 a.m. – 100 blk. Carruth Ln. W., Double Oak – Residents reported an unknown male ringing their doorbell.  Officers made contact and it was determined that the suspicious person was lost and trying to find their way back to Highland Village.

12-15-2012  10:38 p.m. – Alarm – 100 blk. Hollow Oak Ct., Double Oak – Officer could find no evidence of criminal activity.

12-15-2012  11:09 p.m. – Criminal Mischief – 1700 blk. Meadows, Lantana – Officer was dispatched to seek juveniles who were tampering with Christmas decorations in Lantana.  Parents of the juveniles were notified to pick up their children.

12-17-2012  4:54 p.m. – Accident – FM407, Bartonville – Officer assisted with traffic control.

12-18-2012  4:07 p.m. – Credit Card Abuse – 300 blk. Carruth Ln. E., Double Oak – A resident reported than an unknown person or persons was using their credit card.

12-19-2012  4:24 a.m. – Alarm – 8800 blk. Weston Ln., Lantana – Officer responded to a residential alarm at the request of the Sheriff’s Office.  No signs of criminal activity were detected.
