The Argyle football team made quick work of Melissa on Friday afternoon, winning 42-14 to advance to the regional semi-finals.
Ian Sadler got things going for the Eagles, scoring on a 62-yard touchdown pass from Brandon Boyzuick.
Nick Ralston and Sadler both scored on touchdown runs later in the first quarter, and Argyle led 21-14 heading into the second quarter.
It was all Argyle in the second half, as Sadler scored on runs of 11 and 34 yards and Ralston added a 38-yard touchdown run.
Ralston rushed for 159 yards, and Sadler finished the game with 174 yards and four touchdowns in the game.
The victory marked Head Coach Todd Rodgers 100th win at Argyle High School.
Argyle will face Gilmer in the 3A Playoffs this Friday night at 7 p.m. at Mesquite Memorial Stadium.
