Flower Mound to conduct mosquito spraying

The Texas Department of State Health Services recently informed the Town that mosquito samples collected near the following areas have tested positive for carrying the West Nile virus:

– 2600 block College Parkway
– 1900 block Doubletree
– 4200 block Crescent
– 4300 block Native Oak
– Intersection of Bruton Orand and Quail Run

The town will conduct spraying operations in the approximate one-half square-mile radius surrounding the specified areas on Friday, July 27, and Monday, July 30, between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Spraying operations may be rescheduled to the evening of Tuesday, July 31, if weather conditions are not suitable.

Residents in the affected neighborhoods will be notified with community signs placed at major intersections within the spraying area, and are advised to minimize exposure when possible.
