Kroger expansion plans back before town

With a new mayor and two new town council members now seated, Kroger officials are going back to the town of Flower Mound for another try to seek approval for a gas station and $14.3 million in improvements to their aging store at FM 2499 and FM 1171.

Kroger representatives resubmitted their application to the town last week, according to Flower Mound Mayor Tom Hayden.  He said that the council is expected to discuss the item at their June 4 meeting and could act on it in the next two months.

Kroger officials shelved their plans in December after the town’s planning and zoning commission and council denied their request due to traffic safety concerns.
