Foundation awards scholarship to FMHS freshman

Evan Curl, a Flower Mound High School 9th grader, was this year’s recipient of a $2,000 scholarship from Heritage Health Solutions Academic Excellence Foundation.

Evan is deeply involved in his community with activities such as boy scouts, band, football, wrestling, track and volunteering with the USO.

His involvement has won him honors like the Community Service Award from the Town of Flower Mound, Community Service Award of Excellence from the U.S. Army and a Good Citizenship Award from the Marine Corps League.

After graduation, Evan plans to pursue an electrical engineering degree.

In 2010 Heritage Health Solutions Academic Excellence Foundation in Flower Mound was formed to provide college scholarships for seventh to eleventh grade students in public and private schools within the Lewisville Independent School District.
