Lantana HOA storm damage work underway

Repairs on the Lantana Community Association amenities damaged by the June hail storm are well underway.

Damage to the amenity centers, pools and playgrounds was in the neighborhood of $400 thousand, according to Bruce Crawford, Lantana Community Manager.

“All but our $1,000 deductible was covered by insurance,” said Crawford.  “We worked hard to get the best insurance policy we could and it paid off.”

Crawford said that the storm repairs, which include new roofs for all of the HOA facilities, will save the Association money by allowing the community to defer their annual maintenance schedule on many items over the next couple of years.

Crawford explained that the Association was unable to begin working on the repairs until the pools closed in October and the project is currently about 60 percent complete.
