Double Oak Police Calls

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

April 20
5:50  p.m.  100 blk. Royal Oaks Dr. – Animal Complaint – Officer responded to dogs at large call.  Owners of the two dogs were located and animals were secured at their residence.

April 23
7:28 a.m.  200 blk. Whistling Duck Ln. – Animal Complaint – Citizen reported a snake on their back porch.  Officer removed snake to a safer location.

10:43 a.m.  100 blk. Whistling Duck Ln. – Minor Accident – Known person accidentally ran over their neighbors mailbox.

8:03 p.m.  100 blk. Whispering Oaks Dr. – Alarm Call – Officer determined that the residence was secure.

April 24
6:33 a.m.  300 blk. Valley View Dr. – Open Residence – A concerned citizen reported that their neighbors house was unsecure (front door was open and leaves / debris had blown into the residence).  Officers didn’t find any evidence of a crime and secured the house.

7:00 a.m.  6000 blk. Kings Rd. – Animal Complaint – Officers responded to a call about a wounded wild hog.  Citizens reported that a coyote had a baby hog in its mouth but dropped it upon seeing humans and left the area.  Animal control was notified and responded to the location.

1:30 p.m.  800 blk. Crawford Dr., Argyle – Agency Assist – Officers responded to a major accident in Argyle to provide assistance with traffic control.

April 25
2:28 p.m.  600 blk. Chinn Chapel, Copper Canyon – Agency Assist – Double Oak Officers assisted Sheriff’s Deputies with a disturbance call.  Double Oak officers departed once the location was secure.

April 27
1:45 p.m.  200 blk. Cross Timbers Dr. – Theft – A citizen reported a significant quantity of dollar coins as having been stolen from his residence.

April 28
9:30 a.m.  100 blk. Twin Lakes Dr. – Alarm – An Officer responded to a residential alarm call and made contact with the home owner.

7:48 p.m.  200 blk. Carruth Ln. S. – Disturbance – An Officer responded to a minor disturbance over housekeeping practices involving Complainant and his in-laws.  Disturbance was quelled when Complainant agreed to move things to a storage unit.

11:48 p.m.  200 blk. Kings Rd. – Suspicious Vehicle / Person – An Officer on patrol observed an individual who claimed he wanted to take photographs, at night, of a rock structure behind 2 Campbell Ct.  Officer could locate no evidence of a crime.  Subject was told to contact the landowner during daylight hours and the person was released at the scene.

April 29
10:54 a.m.  100 blk. Creek Side Dr. – Alarm – A cleaning crew accidentally activated a residential alarm.

April 30
2:09 a.m.  100 blk. Lake Trail – Loud Music – A resident reported loud music from their neighbor’s home.  Officer spoke to the offending party and they turned the music down.

May 2
1:00 p.m.  300 blk. Waketon Rd. – Identity Theft – A resident reported their identity had been stolen by an unknown person.

May 3
12:57 p.m.  100 blk. Double Oaks Dr. – Burglary – A resident reported the theft of two sets of golf clubs from an unsecure outbuilding.

May 4
3:55 a.m.  1000 blk. Reese Way, Lantana – Assist Agency – Double Oak Officer dispatched to Lantana after a homeowner reported a suspicious falling noise in their garage.

2:07 p.m.  500 blk. Kings Rd. – Parking Complaint – A concerned citizen reported a truck parked blocking half the roadway.  Officer contacted the driver who immediately moved their vehicle.

May 5
7:49 a.m.  700 blk. Simmons Rd. – Alarm Call – A resident accidentally tripped their burglar alarm.

10:01 a.m.  200 blk. Meadowknoll – Vehicle Complaint – An anonymous person reported trucks driving in and out of the neighborhood and neighbors yelling.  Officer didn’t observe any disturbance.

2:11 p.m.  100 blk. Tanglewood – Alarm Call – A resident accidentally tripped their burglar alarm.

4:44 p.m.  100 blk. Meadowknoll – Suspicious Circumstances – A concerned resident and his child reported a van driving slowly through their neighborhood.  The motorist did not stop to speak with the child.  An on-duty patrol officer observed the van and believed it was a lost worker.

9:20 p.m.  700 blk. Bradford, Lantana – Agency Assist – A Double Oak unit responded to Lantana for a residential alarm call.  No crime was detected.

May 7
12:02 a.m.  600 blk. Manor Dr., Argyle – Assist Agency – Double Oak Officer assisted Argyle PD with search of a residence after the homeowner reported a burglary in progress (noises outside their residence).  The search did not reveal evidence of any criminal activity.

4:52 p.m.  100 blk. Whispering Oaks Dr. – Alarm Call – Officer responded to a call and did not detect any crime at the location.

10:05 p.m.  200 blk. Brown Cliff Ct. – Harassment – Resident reported repeated phone calls and unwanted contact from a known suspect. 

May 8
5:36 p.m.  200 blk. Lake Trail Dr. – Animal Complainant – Officer removed a snake from a residence.

9:33 p.m.  8000 blk. FM 407 – Assist Agency – Double Oak Officer assisted Bartonville Officer with moderating a disturbance between two local residents.

9:59 p.m.  400 blk. Cross Timbers Dr. – Noise Disturbance – A concerned resident reported loud revving noises being made by a neighbor working on a motor.

May 10
10:21 p.m.  100 blk. Oak Grove Cir. – Suspicious Vehicle – A concerned citizen reported an unknown vehicle parked in their neighborhood.
