11:36 a.m. 8900 blk. Leland Dr., Lantana – Assist Agency – Concerned resident reported woman leaving child in a truck while she sold items to construction workers. Motorist departed upon officer arrival.
4:30 p.m. 100 blk. Highview – Brush Fire – Double Oak Police department assisted Fire Department at scene of brush fire that got out of control.

11:02 a.m. 4000 blk. Hawk Rd. – Minor Accident – Officer investigated a minor vehicle accident.

12:05 p.m. 100 blk. Trailing Oaks – Suspicious Vehicle – Resident reported an occupied, unknown vehicle, parked in their driveway. Subject left prior to Officer arrival.
3:40 p.m. 100 blk. Trailing Oaks – Criminal Mischief – Resident reported an unknown person removed screws from their pool pump.
February 26
10:40 p.m. 3700 blk. Waketon Rd. – Arrest – A Double Oak Officer made a traffic stop, for speeding, that resulted in the arrest of an individual on outstanding warrants from Coppell and Dallas County. Subject was transported to Denton County Jail.
February 27
8:10 a.m. 100 blk. McMakin Rd. – Disturbance with Arrest – A caller reported a suspicious male near the boat shop. Officer interviewed the subject who insisted he just wanted to speak with his girlfriend. Subject was determined to be wanted on out of town warrants and was taken into custody and transported to Denton County Jail.
12:11 p.m. 100 blk. Kings Rd. – Suspicious Person – Citizen reported an unknown person urinating in public. Officer found the subject who admitted to his conduct. Subject departed by vehicle, with a friend, who had a sales appointment in the area.

4:30 p.m. 100 blk. Creekside Dr. – Identity Theft – A citizen reported that their credit card information had been stolen and used to purchase numerous items delivered to an out of town address.
9:13 p.m. 300 blk. Brown Cliff Ct. – Ordinance Violation – A citizen reported children firing BBs at his vehicle. Officer located the parents, children and Airsoft gun involved in the incident. The parents promised to return the Airsoft gun to its rightful owner.

12:50 p.m. 6000 blk. Plantation Ln. – Telephone Harassment – A citizen reported being threatened via telephone by a known person.
5:18 p.m. 7000 blk. FM 407 – Assist Agency – A Double Oak Officer assisted with traffic call while an accident investigation was conducted by Bartonville PD.
March 2
1:21 p.m. 8000 blk. Navisota Dr., Lantana – Assist Agency – Double Oak Officers assisted Denton County Sheriff’s Office with responding to a Burglar Alarm Call in Lantana. Alarm was accidentally activated by the homeowner.

9:29 p.m. 200 blk. Double Oaks Dr. – Disturbance – Officer responded to a disturbance call created by a fight over personal property.
March 4
8:55 a.m. 300 blk. Oakview – Disturbance – Officers responded to a disturbance call which resulted in allegations of assault and dating violence and the arrest of a 21 year old male for Assault / Bodily Injury.
March 6
12:07 a.m. 200 blk. Whispering Oaks Dr. – Disturbance – Double Oak Police were assisted by Flower Mound P.D. and Argyle P.D. on a disturbance call involving an adult son. Disturbance was mostly verbal in nature, with minor property damage, and was quelled when the adult son voluntarily departed the location.
8:30 a.m. 100 blk. Cedarcrest Ln. – Identity Theft – Complainant had questions about possible identification theft.
March 7
1:15 p.m. 300 blk. Oakview Dr. – Criminal Mischief – Complainant reported that several items of his clothing had been intentionally damaged by a person known to him.
2:19 p.m. 100 blk. Lake Trail Dr. – Open Door – A concerned citizen reported an open door on a nearby residence. Officers searched the residence and found no evidence of criminal activity.
March 8
1:37 a.m. Meadowknoll Dr. – Suspicious Activity – A concerned citizen requested patrol on Meadowknoll and then lost telephone contact with dispatch. Officer patrolled the street but found no evidence of criminal activity.
9:55 a.m. 320 Waketon Rd. – Damaged Property – A property owner reported damage to their Double Oak house.
4:10 p.m. 200 blk. Simmons Rd. – Suspicious Vehicle – A concerned citizen reported a white “Dually” truck driving slowly up and down Simmons Rd. four times. Officers were unable to locate the suspicious vehicle.
March 9
4:25 a.m. 1200 blk. FM 407, Argyle – Assist Agency – A Double Oak Police Officer was dispatched to assist Argyle PD with a suspicious vehicle investigation. Upon arrival officers determined that the car was occupied by tired travelers from Minnesota who had pulled off the roadway to sleep.
8:42 a.m. 900 blk. Cross Timbers Dr. – Warrant Arrest – Officer made contact with a person wanted on an out of town traffic warrant. Warrant was confirmed and subject was transported to Denton County Jail.
4:37 p.m. 200 blk. Fox Trot Ln. – Suspicious Person – A Citizen called concerned about the identity of a Verizon representative. Contact was made with the sales rep and it was confirmed that he was an active Verizon employee visiting with current Verizon subscribers.
March 10
12:28 a.m. 1200 blk. Pecan Dr., Bartonville – Assist Agency – A Double Oak Officer was dispatched to assist Bartonville PD on a possible Public Intoxication complaint. Officer was unable to locate the suspected intoxicated person.
9:54 a.m. 300 blk. Cross Timbers Dr. – Suspicious Activity – A Citizen reported following two men in a van who were stopping at various mailboxes. Officers determined, with the help of a postal employee, that the subjects were dropping off flyers for lawn care in mailboxes. Subjects’ company was contacted and asked to cease soliciting by placing flyers in mailboxes immediately.
March 11
1:21 p.m. 100 blk. W. Carruth – Suspicious Vehicle – Officer noted an unknown vehicle parked in W. Carruth in the westbound lane of traffic, unoccupied. Officers attempted to contact the registered owner. Registered owner explained that the vehicle had been sold several months prior to the officers contact with the vehicle. Vehicle was not displaying a current registration or inspection. An abandoned vehicle notification was placed on the vehicle.
10:10 pm. 8400 blk. Buffalo Dr., Lantana – Assist Agency – Double Oak and Bartonville Police Officers were dispatched on a suspicious circumstances call in Lantana. Caller reported a pickup truck, occupied by two males, parked in front of a residence in which it was known that the occupants were on vacation. Officers searched the area and confirmed that the house was secure. No suspects were located.

7:33 p.m. 100 blk. Kyle Ct. – Assist Agency – Double Oak PD Officer remained on scene while a Flower Mound Police Officer conducted a traffic stop with vehicle search.
March 13
12:36 a.m. 900 blk. Ranch Rd., Denton Cnty. – Assist Agency – Double Oak Officer was dispatched to help Denton County Sheriff’s Department on an alarm call with an open door. No evidence of criminal activity was detected.
10:25 a.m. 300 blk. Brown Cliff Ct. – Disturbance Call – Neighbors became involved in a verbal disagreement.
9:48 p.m. 1000blk. Fortner Rd., Lantana – Assist Agency – Double Oak Officer was dispatched to help Denton County Sheriff’s Department on an unsecure residence with an audible alarm.
