After receiving a Division One rating Oct. 16, the Argyle High School band will continue to defend their 3A State Marching Band Champion Title this Saturday, Oct. 23.
Argyle advances to area competition with 30 other bands from Region 2 on Saturday at 2:15 p.m. at C. H. Collins stadium in Denton.
Four bands that performed in state competition in 2008 will be competing Saturday, including first place Argyle, Canton, Princeton and Wills Point.
The top six bands will advance to state competition at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Monday, Nov. 1.
Argyle will be marching the 2010 show “Inside Out” at competition as well as football games at home this Friday, Oct. 22, against Gainesville, and next Friday, Oct. 29, – in Halloween costumes – against Pilot Point.
