Keeping tabs on charity

Argyle High School junior Zack Owens is a man with a mission—to help others.

In 2011, the Argyle Student Council started a pop can tab drive to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. Owens has continued collecting pop tabs for two years, donating last year’s collection to a charity supporting breast cancer research.

He has also donated his time with service at Argyle food and clothing drives, as well as the Christ Haven sponsored food pantry.

In the above photo, Owens is sporting a necklace made out of pop can tabs he will be donating.
