Argyle school district launches survey

Argyle ISD officials are exploring ways to better communicate to the public and they need the community’s help.

A Communications Committee headed by school board member Eric Fields has been organized. The nine member committee consists of Argyle ISD Superintendent Dr. Telena Wright, two administrators, two teachers, and three Argyle ISD parents.

“I believe that good communication within the district draws the staff and administration together in a way that enables them to function most effectively for the students,” said Dr. Wright.

The committee has developed a survey to obtain the perspective of AISD parents and Argyle community.

The survey is accessible online through Feb. 13 and will be distributed via e-mail to parents in the district. It will also be available at each school campus as well as various locations around the community in hard copy form and is in both English and Spanish.

The committee will rely on the information collected from the surveys in order to make recommendations to the Argyle School Board.

“Good public relations can be cultivated through effective communications, which builds confidence and trust,” said Fields.
