The Flower Mound Police Department responded to a one-car fatality accident at approximately 10:06 A.M. on Friday in the 3200 Block of Dixon Lane.
Police said that the accident involved a 2002 Jeep Liberty traveling westbound on Dixon Lane.
The preliminary investigation showed the SUV crossed over the center stripe, traveled west in the bar ditch for approximately 190 feet and struck an unoccupied Excavator that was parked 75 feet off the roadway.
The Jeep Liberty was driven by Gary Sibley, 53, of Fox Glen Lane in Flower Mound who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sibley’s cause of death was attributed to a heart attack, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office.
