Double Oak Police Calls – 2/19

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

February 12
12:24 p.m.  Assist Fire Department – 300 blk. Oak Trail – Officer assisted Fire Department with traffic control.

2:33 p.m.  Public Assist – 8300 blk. Justin Rd. – Officer observed potential intoxicated driver.  Upon further investigation driver was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

8:15 p.m. Public Assist – 200 blk. Kings Rd. – Officer assisted with removal of broken down Fed Ex truck blocking Kings Rd.

February 13
10:20 p.m.  Welfare Concern – 100 blk. Highview Drive – Officer dispatched in attempt to find screaming woman.  Officer unable to locate any disturbance.

10:50 p.m.  Disturbance – 800 blk. Indian Trail, Denton County – Officer dispatched to provide assistance to Denton County Sheriff’s Deputies while they resolved a dispute between family members.

February 14
10:11 p.m.  Suspicious Vehicle – 8000 blk. Justin Rd. – Officer observed suspicious vehicle in church parking lot.  Occupants were interviewed and no criminal activity was noted.

February 15
12:05 a.m.  Suspicious Vehicle – 8000 blk. Justin Rd. – Officer observed suspicious vehicle in church parking lot.  Occupants were interviewed and no criminal activity was noted.

12:55 a.m.  Assist Fire Department / Medical Emergency – 300 blk. Highland Ct. – Officer responded to medical emergency and stayed on scene until Fire Department arrival.

5:02 a.m. Assist Agency / Major Accident – 7100 blk. FM 1830 –  Officer dispatched to assist Denton County Sheriffs Office with traffic control on a major accident.

6:06 p.m.  Suspicious Vehicle – 100 blk. Twin Lakes Dr.  –  10-year old boy reported while walking home from school, he observed a white BMW driving slowly on Twin Lakes Dr. and the male driver rolled down a window and turned his car around.  Driver did not speak with the boy or exit his vehicle.  The boy ran home and reported the event to his mother who in turn contacted the police.  No crime was committed.  Officers have been unable to locate the driver.

7:25 p.m.  Solicitor Complaint – 400 blk. Whispering Oaks Dr. – Officer responded to a solicitor complaint.  Unable to locate offender upon arrival.

February 16
9:54 p.m.  Suspicious Person – 300 blk. Waketon Rd. – Officer dispatched to Double Oak Town Hall regarding possible disturbance.  Upon arrival Officer met with person who had been involved in a Flower Mound disturbance and had been dropped off at the Double Oak parking lot.  Subject was escorted to Flower Mound.

February 18
Parking Violation – 300 blk. Carruth Ln. – Officer dispatched regarding truck parked in violation of Town Ordinance. 

8:35 a.m.  Alarm Call – 100 blk. Chapel Hill – Alarm accidentally activated.

11:09 a.m.  Suspicious Person – 300 blk. Kings Rd. – Reporting Person concerned about suspects knocking on doors and windows of the house earlier in the week.

11:15 a.m.  Suspicious Persons – 300 blk. Lake Trail – Officer dispatched regarding a suspicious person driving slowly through the neighborhood.  Persons in the vehicle are known, and confirmed, bird watchers, who watch geese in the local ponds.
