A Marcus High School senior will be recognized at the annual Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholarship Banquet this week.
Kiara Berry was selected by the RMHC of Greater North Texas to receive a $2,000 scholarship based on her academic achievement and community service, according to a news release. The 32 recipients will also receive additional gifts to kick start their college careers.
The banquet will be held Thursday evening at the Las Colinas Country Club.
In 2017 and 2018, RMHC of Greater North Texas awarded more than $200,000 in college scholarships to local high school seniors in Dallas-Fort Worth.
