Firefighters put out an 8-acre grass fire in west Flower Mound on Tuesday morning.

The fire was started around 10 a.m. by a pickup that became stuck in the field north of FM 1171, between Pierre Lane and Freeman Road, according to Flower Mound Fire Department spokesman Brandon Barth.

Access to the area was difficult, but firefighters from Flower Mound, Argyle and Roanoke were able to get the fire under control a little after 11 a.m., according to FMFD. Crews remained on scene for a few more hours to mop up.
