Seth Chapman has done his best to make the most of his time at Argyle High School.

A trombone player in the award winning marching band and member of the Challenge Day Club, Chapman knows a thing or two about giving of his time, and said his school makes him want to give back wherever he can.

“I really enjoy being at Argyle High School, we have really good teachers,” Chapman said. “They are willing to work with you as long as you put in the effort.”

Chapman is also a member of Lunch Buddies, which serves a very special purpose.

“Once a week I go and eat lunch with special needs students,” Chapman said.

While Chapman is involved in several activities at Argyle High School, he said that one does stand out above the rest in terms of what he enjoys.

“I really love the marching band,” Chapman said. “It’s a blast, and it is just a thrill being on the field.”

Chapman, who plans to attend the University of North Texas or Southern Methodist University, said that he believes the biggest issue affecting young people around the country these days can be addressed in a positive way.

“I feel like drugs is a big issue with people around my age,” Chapman said. “I feel like if there were more active searches at school, it would be less of a problem.”

Chapman, who was a member of the Student Council last year, said what he will remember the most about his time at Argyle High School is twofold.

“I think I am going to remember my schooling and the work that I have done through the Challenge Day Club,” Chapman said. “It has really helped me get through the challenging times I’ve had.”

Chapman plans to join the Navy upon completion of high school, and study business and engineering in college.
