The Flower Mound Police Department will host a free safe boating course for residents ahead of the summer, when many people spend recreation time on area lakes.
The course will discuss lake preparedness and required equipment for a safe boating experience, as well as tips geared towards new and inexperienced boaters, according to a news release from the town of Flower Mound. It will be held on April 27 from 8-11 a.m. at the FMPD station, 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane.
Space is limited for the course and registration is required. For more information or to register, contact FMPD Sgt. Styne-Burns at john.styneburns@flower-mound.com.
