Foodie Friday: Fido-Friendly Flower Mound Restaurants

Post Ad – Top

Some of our dog-loving followers (including one of our clients, Sarah Lemich – shoutout!) have been asking us lately where they can find all the dog-friendly patios here in Flower Mound.

As dog-lovers ourselves, we thought that was a great request, so below is a list of all the restaurants* here in town where you can dine with your furry friends.

You’ll know you’re at one of these dog-friendly restaurants if you see this sign: “DOG FRIENDLY PATIO – DOGS ACCESS ONLY THROUGH OUTDOOR PATIO.”

Jake’s Hamburgers

1141 Flower Mound Rd

Jake’s locations around the metroplex are known for their incredible patios which makes it a great place here in Flower Mound to dine with your pooch. They’re also well known for their great selection of beers (including several local brews), poppyseed buns (baked fresh daily), and their crinkle-cut sweet potato fries served with a side of their special Jake’s marshmallow sauce.

They’re also now serving breakfast, so stop by to enjoy some of their buttermilk pancakes. Your dog will probably enjoy a bite too!

Paradise Bistro & Coffee Co.

2451 Lakeside Parkway, Suite 100

Did you know that today is Sandwich Day? I know, it’s hard to keep track of all those obscure holidays. But Paradise Bistro & Coffee Co. in Lakeside DFW is one of our favorite places to grab a sandwich from. Their Albuquerque Turkey sandwich is to die for served on that cheddar jalapeño bun. And if you’re a chicken salad lover, you’ll instantly fall in love with theirs.

With their prime location in Lakeside DFW, this is a great spot to bring your dog. And is especially great for all those who live in Lakeside DFW. Head on in, grab a pastry, a sandwich and a cup of coffee and enjoy the gorgeous weather with your pup on their patio.

Piranha Killer Sushi

5801 Long Prairie Rd, Suite 870

I’m not sure whether dogs like sushi, but humans definitely do and they also love their dogs, so Piranha Killer Sushi seems like the perfect place to have a dog-friendly patio.

Piranha serves up incredible, fresh sushi rolls (some of my favorites include the Flower Roll and their Spicy Tuna Roll) as well as some fantastic non-sushi dishes like their Teriyaki Beef Medallions. They also have a wonderful bar serving up Happy Hour specials Sunday-Thursday.

Salerno’s Italian Restaurant

3405 Long Prairie Rd

Unlike with sushi, I know for a fact dogs love Italian food because I’ve seen “Lady and the Tramp.” So your doggy will love coming with you to dine at Salerno’s.

Run by the Salerno brothers, Salerno’s is committed to serving authentic Italian food and has become a Flower Mound institution over their decades of serving our town. All of their menu items are named after customers, employees or friends of the restaurant. So each dish has a special place in the owners‘ hearts.

You can’t go wrong with their Italian classics like their lasagna and spaghetti, but they’re probably most well known for their Steak Salerno.

Urbano Enchilada & Taco Bar

1121 Flower Mound Rd.

Urbano serves up incredible street-style Mexican cuisine – from their tacos to their amazing street corn. They also have a fabulous full-service bar serving up their unique and wide array of margaritas to include their Spicy Rita and their Morgan’s Blue Rita.

And they have a HUGE patio that’s great for your pooch to enjoy a beautiful evening on while you sip on a margarita and nosh on some of their incredible food.

With the gorgeous weather this weekend, it’s the perfect time to take your pooch out on a lunch or dinner date to any of these four restaurants! We hope you enjoy!

(*Note: These are the restaurants who have actually permitted with the Town of Flower Mound to allow dogs on their patios. While other restaurants may advertise they are “dog-friendly,” they do not have approved permits.)
