Rain dwindles across Denton County

Steady rain began falling across much of the area as the sun began to set.

By almost 9 p.m., about .69 of an inch of rain was recorded at the Double Oak Fire Station.

Late Friday, rain showers swept into southern Denton County, bringing bursts of sporadic rainfall. As of mid-day, about three-tenths of an inch of rain was recorded in Double Oak.

Showers and thunderstorms covered much of the region during the evening hours. The showers and storms were expected to end from west to east by this evening.

Sunday is expected to be clear skies with warming temperatures. Next week, temps will cool slightly heading into Thanksgiving Day. An arctic front is expected by the end of the holiday weekend. More details will be available soon.
