Flower Mound charter review commission to hold public meetings

A Charter Review Commission was recently appointed to review and discuss the Flower Mound Town Charter.

The document governs the actions of the town council and staff, establishes a structure and sets boundaries for that government, and creates the basic guidelines and principles under which the government operates.

The commission will hold public meetings starting at 6:30 p.m. on October 30, November 6 and 19, and December 4 and 17 at Town Hall, 2121 Cross Timbers Rd.

All meetings will be broadcast live on FMTV (Grande Cable Channel 12, Time Warner Cable Channel 16, and Verizon FIOS Channel 42) and will be available for on-demand streaming at www.flower-mound.com/fmtv under the “Other Meetings” tab.

Public input is welcomed and encouraged as proposed Charter amendment recommendations are presented and discussed.

Questions, comments, or ideas for the Charter Review Commission can be emailed to the commission at [email protected] or contact the Town Secretary’s Office at 972-874-6076.
