Highland Village police to host child identification event

If your child ever went missing, would you be able to provide authorities with the necessary information they need?

Having updated photographs and other personal information about your child is essential to help authorities help your family.

The Highland Village Police Department is teaming up with Powell Insurance Agency of Highland Village to host their first Child Identification Night.

The free community event is scheduled for this Tuesday, Aug. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Walgreens, 2360 Justin Road in Highland Village.

Child Identification Kits will be available for parents to complete and keep on hand if ever their child goes missing or is abducted.

Each kit will allow parents to document their child’s information, identifiable marks, growth chart, and a current picture of each child.

Walgreens will be taking pictures at no charge and will provide a copy of the picture to put in the ID kit.

There will also be other organizations focused on child wellness and safety in attendance.

Call 972-899-5131 for more information about the event.
