Why not try a triathlon this year?

“Everyone is a success in the making,” says Sean Thompson of Trisquared Triathlon Training at Strada Fitness.

If you’re looking for a new challenge, or are ready to try a fun and interesting way to get into great shape, step out of the box and check out triathlons.

Swim, bike, run.  Three endurance disciplines combined into one fantastic race.  Don’t worry, there’s no need to start with the full-blown Ironman!   There are many different lengths of triathlons, beginning with distances measured in sprints and minis.  These “beginner” events allow you to grow as an athlete while learning the ins and outs of competing.

Best of all, from a fitness point-of-view, if you train using your whole body, your whole body will get in shape.  Funny how that works!

Getting started may seem a bit intimidating, but that’s where Sean and Trisquared come in.   From the moment you meet, Sean’s calm demeanor will instantly put you at ease.  His only prerequisites are passion and energy.  If you bring those, Sean will lead you the rest of the way.

Don’t think you’re a good fit for tri training?  Forgive my candor, but you’re probably wrong!  Whether you have an athletic background or you’ve never even ridden a bike, Trisquared can take you to the next level.  “My overwhelming focus is to get each individual to achieve his or her potential and to reach their personal goals,” says Sean.

Trisquared has clients of all ages, from 6 to 100 and everyone in between.  That’s one of the cool things about triathlons: People of all ages and abilities can compete, have fun and challenge themselves.

Trisquared employs the latest technology to develop your skills.  With the use of a Computrainer – a stationary computer-based cycle and swim program – you will be taught to enhance your riding and swimming skills.  The Computrainers allow Sean and his trainers to “coach” while you are riding and swimming.  Whether you’re a newbie or an experienced triathlete, the Computrainer gives you the information you need to improve your power, your cadence and your aerobic capabilities.

Swim. Bike. Run.  Come on in to Strada Fitness, meet Sean, hop on a Computrainer, and see for yourself how exciting this adventure can be.   Why not add triathlon to your bucket list for 2013?
