Rise and shine for the 39th Annual Easter Sunrise Service on The Flower Mound this Sunday.
The service is an annual tradition carried on by three of Flower Mound’s civic organizations; the Summit Club, the Women of Flower Mound, and the Flower Mound Foundation.
This year’s service will be held on Sunday, March 31, at 6:55 a.m.
Sunrise is at 7:17 a.m. The service concludes around 7:55 a.m.
Approximately 1,500 people are expected to attend the service this year.
Each year, the Summit Club invites a local church youth group to provide the program. This year, the Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church youth group of Flower Mound will present the service.
The Mound is located on the northeast corner of FM 2499 and Flower Mound Road. Parking is available in the Tom Thumb parking lot.
The Flower Mound is a 12-acre native prairie grassland that rises fifty feet above the surrounding area which provides a 360 degree view of the North Texas landscape. Scientific studies identified over 300 species of native flowers growing on The Mound. The property is managed by The Flower Mound Foundation on behalf of the residents of Flower Mound.
