Double Oak Police Calls

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

12-21-2012  10:20 p.m. – Alarm – 100 blk. Whistling Duck, Double Oak – Contact was made with the homeowner.  House was secure.

12-21-2012  5:36 p.m. – Medical Call – 8300 blk. Justin, Rd., Double Oak – Adult male had medical problem while visiting a local business.  Ambulance responded.

12-21-2012  6:02 p.m. – Theft – 300 blk. E. Carruth, Double Oak – Homeowner reported the theft of crystal figurines valued at $1,500.

12-21-2012  9:49 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 100 blk. Meadow Knoll, Double Oak – A resident reported an unknown male parked in front of a neighbor’s residence for an extended period of time.  Further investigation revealed it was a visitor to the community waiting for a person to return home.

12-21-2012  1:06 p.m. – Alarm – 200 blk. Oak Trail, Double Oak – House was secure.

12-21-2012  3:00 p.m. – Suspicious Activity – 400 blk. Waketon, Double Oak – A witness reported two unknown men walking around a vacant lot.  Upon further investigation it was determined to be the new property owners.

12-22-2012  1:48 p.m. – Warrant Arrest – 400 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – Officer conducted a traffic stop for speeding and determined the motorist was wanted out of Lake Dallas on traffic warrants.  A 24 year old female was placed under arrest and transported to Lake Dallas jail.

12-22-2012  11:52 p.m. – Criminal Trespass in Progress – 100 blk. McMakin Rd., Bartonville – Reports of juveniles tampering with Christmas decorations.

12-22-2012  8:41 p.m. – Assist Fire Department – 200 blk. Brown Cliff Ct., Double Oak – Report of a resident burning on a non-burn day.  Officer departed when fire was extinguished.

12-22-2012  5:04 a.m. – Suspicious Activity – 100 blk. Fawn Hollow Dr., Copper Canyon – Residents reported multiple unknown persons in the area.  Officers were unable to locate any suspects.

12-22-2012  12:13 a.m. – Noise Disturbance – 500 blk. Simmons Rd., Double Oak – Officer responded to a noise disturbance.  Upon arrival he located a holiday party.  Contact was made and the residents turned down the music.

12-23-2012  10:31 p.m. – Criminal Mischief – 100 blk. Whispering Oaks Dr., Double Oak – An unknown person or persons vandalized Christmas decorations.

12-23-2012  1:57 a.m. – Family Disturbance – 10700 blk. Hilltop Rd., Denton Cnty. – Double Oak Officer dispatched to assist County Deputies with keeping parties apart from each other while investigating a disturbance.

12-23-2012  10:23 p.m. – Minor Accident – 100 blk. Cedarcrest Ln., Double Oak – Minor accident between motorist and mailbox.  Driver and homeowner were exchanging information upon officer arrival.

12-24-2012  6:56 p.m. – Alarm – 100 blk. Stonewood Blvd., Bartonville – Officer checked the property, found no signs of forced entry and attempted to contact the property owner.

12-25-2012  4:16 p.m. – Accident – 7800 blk. Justin Rd., Denton County – Officer located a one car accident in which driver had abandoned the vehicle in a ditch.  Information was forwarded to the Denton County Sheriff’s Department.

12-25-2012  3:55 p.m. – Accident – 100 blk. McMakin Rd., Bartonville – Officer assisted Bartonville PD with a one vehicle accident.  Property owner agreed to let motorist leave his car on the property until the weather improved.

12-25-2012  12:31 a.m. – Noise Disturbance – 1100 blk. Maple, Bartonville – Double Oak Officer and Sheriff’s Deputy advised Christmas party that the music needed to be turned down.

12-25-2012  4:45 a.m. – Alarm – 300 blk. Valley View Trl., Double Oak – Officer dispatched on a residential alarm call.  Officer checked the perimeter and found the house to be secure.  Unable to contact the homeowner.

12-25-2012  8:26 p.m. – Welfare Concern – 1000 blk. Cardinal Dr., Bartonville – Officer responded to concerns that a resident was having medical problems.  Officer located the resident and obtained medical help for him.

12-26-2012  10:18 a.m. – Traffic Hazard – 600 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – A stalled car was removed from the ditch after repeated calls from passersby and officer observations about how slippery the road was at that location.

12-27-2012  1:32 p.m. – Alarm – 100 blk. Meadow Knoll Dr., Double Oak – House was secure.

12-28-2012  1:08 a.m. – Barking Dog – 400 blk. Whispering Oaks Dr., Double Oak – Officer was unable to locate the offending canine.

12-29-2012  11:04 a.m. – Residential Fire – 100 blk. High Oaks Dr., Double Oak – Chimney fire at residence.

12-30-2012  8:19 p.m. – Roadway Hazard – 8100 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – Officer received a report of two large potholes damaging vehicles.  TXDOT was contacted and they had Lane construction respond to conduct repairs.

12-30-2012  11:05 p.m. – Noise Complaint – 400 blk. Cross Timbers Dr., Double Oak – Officer received a complaint about the revving of a motorcycle engine.  Officer did not hear anything or observe a motorcycle being used.

12-31-2012  10:38 p.m. – Fireworks – 300 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – A resident reported fireworks being shot in the area of Kings Rd.  Officer did not locate the violator.

12-31-2012  10:35 p.m. – Fireworks – 200 blk. Twin Lakes, Double Oak – A resident reported fireworks being discharged in the area.  Officer did not locate the violator.

12-31-2012  3:11 p.m. – 9-1-1 Hang-up – 100 blk. Meadow Knoll Dr., Double Oak – Officer made contact with the residents and verified that everything was okay.

01-01-2013  9:12 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 300 blk. E. Carruth Ln., Double Oak – Officer noted suspicious vehicle behavior in Carruth Estates.  Upon interviewing the driver he explained he was there to visit a friend (whose name he couldn’t recall).  Driver was issued a citation for expired vehicle registration.

01-01-2013  1:42 a.m. – Assist Agency Loud Party – 7200 blk. Mitchell Ct., Lantana – Double Oak Officer assisted County Deputy with quieting a large party.

01-03-2013  11:07 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle / Activity – 100 blk. Twin Lakes, Double Oak – Witnesses observed two cars containing males parked in their neighborhood.  Upon further investigation it was determined that they were waiting for a friend to arrive home so they could watch a movie together.  A warning was issued for an expired inspection.

01-03-2012  4:47 a.m. – Assist Agency / Stolen Vehicle – 400 blk. E. Collin St., Argyle – Double Oak P.D. Officer provided assistance while Argyle P.D. coordinated the return of a stolen car.

01-04-2013  11:47 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – 700 blk. Lathrop St., Lantana – Double Oak Officer responded with Sheriff’s Department to an unsecure residence.  Officers met with the caller and searched the house.  No evidence of criminal activity was detected.

01-05-2013  8:57 p.m. – Reckless Driver – 300 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – Officer was dispatched on a report of reckless driving but was unable to locate the motorist.

01-06-2013  3:30 a.m. – Burglary In Progress – 200 blk. Oakview Dr., Double Oak – A resident heard a loud noise and thought an unknown person was in their home.  Upon further investigation it was found that artwork had fallen off a wall.

01-06-2013  7:53 a.m. – Alarm – 6200 blk. Pepperport, Double Oak – Residential alarm.  Officer found no evidence of criminal activity.

01-06-2013  3:00 p.m. – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – 100 blk. Simmons Rd., Double Oak – A motorist was cited for being in possession of paraphernalia commonly used to smoke m
arijuana.

01-07-2013 11:49 a.m. – Alarm – 300 blk. Oakview Ln., Double Oak – Officer responded to a residential alarm and found the house to be secure.

01-07-2013 7:10 p.m. – Assist Agency (Bartonville) – 100 blk. Kentucky Derby, Bartonville – Double Oak officer checked on the welfare of a Bartonville officer who was working a minor disturbance call.

01-07-2013  8:41 a.m. – Criminal Mischief – 200 blk. Shady Hill Ln., Double Oak – Complainant notified reporting officer that his Christmas lights had been cut.

01-08-2013  9:56 a.m. – Theft – 100 blk. Valley View Trl., Double Oak – Complainant reported military memorabilia missing after multiple contractors had worked inside of their home.

01-08-2013  7:56 a.m. – Road Hazard – 8100 blk. Justin Rd. W., Flower Mound – Double Oak Officer was dispatched to a road hazard.  Upon investigation a large pot hole was found in Westbound FM 407.  TXDOT was notified of the road damage via dispatch.

01-08-2013  2:40 p.m. – Alarm – 100 blk. Timberleaf, Double Oak – Officer checked the house perimeter and found no sign of criminal activity.

01-09-2013  3:43 p.m. – Motorist Assist – 2900 blk. Waketon Rd., Flower Mound – Officer responded to a request for assistance on a stranded bus.  Officer remained on scene until vehicle was removed.

01-11-2013  10:28 p.m. – 911 Hangup – 100 blk. Double Oaks Dr., Double Oak – Homeowner believes child may have inadvertently dialed 9-1-1.

01-12-2013  2:41 p.m. – Medical Call – 1000 blk. Timber Ridge, Bartonville – Assisted Fire Department with a sick person.

01-14-2013  12:40 a.m. – Fire Call – 1300 blk. Saddlebrook Ct., Bartonville – Officer responded to possible structure fire.  Fire Department responded and found a shorted out fan motor in the attic.

01-15-2013  9:01 a.m. – Minor Accident – 5100 blk. Shiloh Rd., Double Oak – Motorist lost control of vehicle, left the roadway and struck a residential fence.

01-15-2013  2:00 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 7800 blk. F.M. 407, Double Oak – Officer received a report from Bartonville PD about a possible intoxicated motorist in a Brown Dodge Stratus on F.M. 407.  Vehicle was stopped and driver was determined to be sober but driving uninsured.  A citation was issued.

01-17-2013  7:04 p.m. – Harassment – 200 blk. Cross Timbers Dr., Double Oak – Resident reported multiple unwanted phone calls from an unknown party.

01-17-2013  8:31 p.m. – Disturbance – 1500 blk. Landfall Circle, Bartonville – Officers were dispatched regarding a family disturbance that was verbal in nature.

01-17-2013  12:00 p.m. – Burglary of a Building – 100 blk. Double Oaks Dr., Double Oak – A resident was storing a bicycle in the unsecure garage of a neighbor’s vacant residence.  Bicycle was taken without permission by an unknown person.

01-18-2013  8:25 p.m. – Shots Fired – 300 blk. Whispering Oaks Dr., Double Oak – Multiple calls about shots fired.  Officer unable to locate the source of the gunfire.

01-18-2013  11:08 p.m. – Prowler – 300 blk. Highland Ct., Double Oak – A resident reported an unknown person outside their residence.  Officer searched exterior and interior of residence and did not locate any suspicious person.

01-19-2013  2:00 a.m. – Traffic Accident – 1500 blk. Copper Canyon Rd. – Officer dispatched to assist Sheriff’s deputy with an accident and multiple suspects fleeing the scene.
