A Lewisville man died Thursday night after being struck by his own vehicle on FM 2499 in Flower Mound.
The Flower Mound Police and Fire Departments responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 3700 block of FM 2499 just north of FM 1171 at at 9:21 p.m.
Based upon preliminary investigation gathered from the scene and from witness statements, police said that George Bulloch, 84, exited his his 2002 White Toyota Tacoma in the southbound turn lane of FM 2499 for an unknown reason with the vehicle still in reverse. The car began rolling backwards, striking him.
Bulloch was later pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, with the cause of death later determined to be a skull fracture.
The crash remains under investigation.
