Highland Village Police made two arrests after a pair of Marcus High School students were robbed last week on the city’s Inland trail system near Village Parkway.
Police said that on Thursday, March 29, at about 4 p.m., the students, who were were soliciting door to door for the school booster club, were approached on foot by two teenage suspects. One suspect displayed a weapon in his waistband and the other had a stun gun. The suspects took cash from one of the victims. Neither victim was injured.
Highland Village Police investigated the incident and obtained a warrant for one of the suspects, a 17-year old Highland Village student, who was arrested and booked into the Highland Village City Jail. The other suspect was a 16-year old Highland Village juvenile who was taken into custody and later transferred to the Denton County Juvenile Detention Center.
Police said that this appears to be an isolated incident.
