County dodged bullet

Denton County was spared Tuesday as 12 tornadoes ripped through neighboring parts of North Texas, destroying hundreds of homes, businesses and vehicles and causing millions of dollars in damage.

No major storm-related damage was reported in Denton County, but other areas were not so lucky.

“This was a historic outbreak of severe weather in North Texas,” said WBAP Meteorologist Brad Barton.
