Argyle PD warns residents of phone scam

The Argyle Police Department is warning residents about a scam targeting citizens of Argyle.

The department posted on social media Friday that the scammers are calling local residents, saying they have a warrant out from Argyle PD.

“The Argyle PD will not call and ask for money, gift cards, etc over the phone,” the department said. “Never give anyone money, personal information, etc to anyone over the phone.”
