Police believe store employee may have more sexual assault victims

The Grapevine Police Department is seeking more information from any women who may have been sexually assaulted by a loss prevention officer at a Grapevine mall.

A woman reported last month to Grapevine police that 29-year-old Alex Landry —  a loss prevention officer at Burlington Coat Factory in Grapevine Mills Mall — caught her stealing from a different store in the mall on May 6. Landry allegedly took her back to his office and, once they were alone, took a photo of her with his phone and coerced her into sex to avoid arrest, according to a news release from the Grapevine Police Department.

The department launched an investigation and later issued a search warrant for Landry’s phone, where they found photos of other unidentified women in his loss prevention office. Police believe Landry could have more victims, and are urging any women who were confronted or assaulted by Landry to contact detectives during business hours at 817-410-3200 or after hours at 817-410-8127.

Landry was arrested in a North Richland Hills apartment Thursday on suspicion of second-degree felony sexual assault. His bond was set at $25,000.
