It looks like a mess right now but improvements on Morriss Rd. near Garden Road at Forestwood Middle School are expected to be complete by the start of school next week, according to Flower Mound officials.
Morriss is currently down to one lane in each direction by the school.
The water line in the Garden Road area has been installed and Garden Road is on schedule to be open by the start of school.
When school starts, crews will still be working on other portions of Morriss Rd. and traffic will be limited to one lane.
The project–including concrete panel replacements on Morriss from FM 3040 to Firewheel Drive, sidewalk improvements from FM 3040 to Firewheel Drive, plus 20-inch and 24-inch water line replacements from Forest Vista to Garden Road– is expected to be complete in May 2020.
