Last week, the Argyle Town Council awarded the bids for both phases of its road improvement project to Teague, Nall and Perkins, a Denton-based civil engineering firm.

In January, the town issued $2.75 million for a large-scale road improvement project to include microsurfacing approximately 5.6 miles of roads, repair/maintain 2.75 miles of roads with an asphalt overlay and reconstruct approximately 2 miles of roads throughout the town, according to a news release from the town of Argyle.

The Town Council awarded the bid for both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the 2019 Road Improvement Project to TNP at a special meeting on July 2. Construction will begin on both phases near the end of the summer.

The town plans to resurface, repair or reconstruct portions of Gibbons Road, C. Taylor Road, Sam David Road, Harpole Road and many other smaller streets.
