Flower Mound to host first Chalk Art Contest

The town of Flower Mound will host its first Chalk Art Contest later this month.

To celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month, the town’s first chalk contest will be held at 9 a.m. on July 27 at Heritage Park, 600 Spinks Road, according to a news release from the town of Flower Mound. Participants will be assigned a concrete square to create their masterpieces. A set of chalk pastels will be provided for the first 75 participants to register, or you can bring your own.

Judging will begin at 12:30 p.m., and prizes will be given out for the following age groups: 6 and under, 7-11 years old, 12-17 years old and 18 and older. Food trucks will be on site. The event is free but registration is required. Click here to register.
