U.S. Rep. Michael C. Burgess (R-TX) will hold his 2019 Energy Summit & Fair on Saturday, July 13, at the University of North Texas’ Discovery Park Campus.

The Energy Summit will convene local leaders and industry experts who will highlight steps North Texans can take to become more energy efficient and reduce their energy costs, according to a news release from Burgess’ office. The event also will feature a fair with booths providing energy-related information and resources, as well as an auto show featuring electric, hybrid and fuel-efficient vehicles. The event is free and open to the public.

“Everyone can play a role in our nation’s collective effort to become more energy efficient and strive for an energy-independent America,” Burgess said. “The Energy Summit and Fair is an annual opportunity to hear from experts about energy innovation in North Texas and throughout the country, as well as practical ways to conserve energy and reduce costs throughout the year. I am grateful for our region’s many energy experts and look forward to hearing from them.”

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at 3940 North Elm St. in Denton.
