A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Denton County through Thursday morning.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase across the region during the day Wednesday. Some areas could pick up 2 to 3 inches of rain during this time.
By Wednesday afternoon, severe thunderstorms are expected along a cold front which will move across Denton County.
Soils remain saturated across the region and additional heavy rainfall could result in flash flooding.
The end of the week into the first part of the weekend will remain partly to mostly cloudy, warm, and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible each day.
