CarMax is coming to Denton.
The largest retailer of used cars in the country has plans to open a store in Denton in September as it expands its Texas presence, according to a CarMax spokesperson. CarMax plans to hire about 20 associates for the Denton store and carry inventory of about 150 used vehicles on the lot.
The Denton CarMax will be located at 4200 South I-35E, about halfway between State School Road and Post Oak Drive.
CarMax has more than 200 stores nationwide, and during the latest fiscal year sold nearly 750,000 used cars and 450,000 wholesale vehicles at its in-store auctions. It maximizes customer choice by offering a large selection and making its nationwide inventory of nearly 55,000 vehicles available for viewing. Upon request by a customer, CarMax will also transfer most used cars among the company’s over 200 stores which allows customers greater access to a much larger selection of inventory.
