Traffic lane shifts being made on I-35E and Hwy 377 in south Denton

Traffic shifts are taking place Wednesday on major highways in south Denton because of ongoing construction, according to the city of Denton.

Weather permitting, the Texas Department of Transportation is switching the northbound and southbound main lanes of I-35E traffic to the newly constructed roadway on Tuesday and Wednesday night.

During the day Wednesday, on Hwy 377 from I-35E to Roselawn Drive, southbound traffic lanes will shift onto the newly constructed northbound lanes, according to the city. Northbound traffic will be shifted onto the existing southbound lanes to allow crews to safely continue improvements for the ongoing construction project.
