The Highland Village Animal Shelter is getting full

The Highland Village Animal Shelter is getting full, so it will host an adoption event to help get some of the homeless pets their furever homes.

The small shelter has four cats and six dogs available for adoption, as well as some guinea pigs, according to its website. All adoption fees are waived, and the pets come fully vetted with a microchip.

The adoption event will be held at the local Petco, 3194 FM 407 in Highland Village from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. You can also stop by the shelter from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays at 2810 Justin Road. The shelter is accessible from the rear of the Animal Medical Center building.
