Flower Mound seeking citizen scientists for Stream Team

The town of Flower Mound is seeking residents to help monitor water quality at local bodies of water.

The Flower Mound Environmental Services Department is looking for volunteers to become a certified citizen scientist for the Texas Stream Team, according to a news release from the town of Flower Mound. Volunteers do not have to have experience, but they will receive training from TST and then will conduct water quality monitoring at assigned sites on local lakes, rivers, streams and estuaries.

Training will be held on March 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Flower Mound location of Midwestern State University, 100 Parker Square Road. To register, email [email protected] or call 972-874-6354.
