TxDOT to conduct public meeting about 13-mile stretch of FM 407

The Texas Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting next month about its plans for a 13-mile stretch of FM 407 through southern Denton County.

TxDOT is conducting a feasibility study on FM 407 from west of FM 156 (in Justin) to FM 1830 (at the Argyle/Bartonville border), according to a public notice from TxDOT. The purpose of the study is to analyze potential roadway options to improve FM 407, including improving the existing alignment (route) or utilizing new alignments.

The meeting will be held on March 21 from 6-8 p.m. at Justin Elementary School, 425 Boss Range Road in Justin. Representatives from TxDOT and project consultants will be available to present the proposed improvements, answer questions and receive comments about the proposed project improvements. Maps showing the project location and preliminary design will be available for viewing at the public meeting, and are on file and available for review at the following locations:
