A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for Friday morning through Saturday afternoon for Denton County.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected starting Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service. The showers are expected to become more numerous through the day Friday and continuing into Saturday.
The heaviest rain may fall late Friday into Friday night.

Rainfall totals of 2-5 inches will be possible, the forecast says. Soils will saturate quickly with periods of heavy rain, resulting in rapid runoff and the potential for flash flooding.
